Historic Restoration in Providence

Brassworks recently completed the restoration of several antique lock sets at a private residence on the East side of Providence. The  locks were removed by Brassworks’ installation personnel, completely  disassembled, rebuilt, restored to their original patina, and then re- installed. All measures were taken to preserve the original working  elements of this hardware, and refinish the pieces to a historically accurate condition.

As you can see, these locks are a true work of craftsmanship and it was a pleasure to be an integral part of the home’s restoration. This property was listed on the historic register and all work we did was fully approved by the local Preservation Society.

Here are the before and after photos of the project.
